It is also conveniently located close to Lough Allen adventure centre where there are a variety of outdoor pursuit courses, Wind surfing and Kayaking amongst others.
A short drive to the north brings you to Manorhamilton a lively market town heavily involved in promoting the arts. Here you can indulge in creative art courses at the Sculpture centre. A little further on down the road you come to Rossinver and the organic centre. A haven for horticulturalists.
For lovers of Irish Music, 20 mins to the south is Drumshanbo, home of an Tostal and the Joe Mooney music festival whilst the village of Drumkeerin, 5 miles to the west has many pubs offering music and craic.
For walkers, the hills and mountains of West Cavan and Leitrim are all within striking distance with walks for people of all abilities, each offering stunning scenery.
